    Working Principle

    The principle of large air separation equipment is to separate the air into oxygen, nitrogen, argon and other components by cryogenic distillation.

    First, the ambient air is compressed and pre-purified to remove water vapor and CO.

    Then the purified air is cooled and liquefied to cryogenic temperatures.

    The liquid air is fed into the distillation column, where the different boiling points of the components cause them to be separated.

    Finally, the separated oxygen, nitrogen, and argon are stored in gas storage tanks or sent to the pipeline network for industrial use.
